An intensive programme of media training (including all day sessions and one-to-one telephone support prior to interview) to support partners and solicitors in handling the significant media interest around the Burden sisters case, heard by the European Court of Human Rights. The two elderly sisters fought for the same inheritance tax exemption rights as married or gay couples.
The issue attracted interest from all major national newspaper, radio and television media.
The client was interviewed on Radio 4's 'Today' programme, BBC2’s 'Working Lunch' and by the Telegraph’s Joshua Rosenberg. They also appeared in the Observer Finance for 3 consecutive weeks, The Times, Mail, Express, specialist interest press, including the Gay Times, and on a number of international websites.
