glennie mcintosh: on your wavelength Film Media

Film & Performance Media

Using film media, we create dramas that address social issues in a dramatic, sensitive but authentic treatment which powerfully connects the audience to the real emotions and real people that lie behind our assumptions, stereotypes and prejudices.

Moving people to change

We have used moving images (as film, video and animation) as well as live drama to connect with audiences in a way that static pictures and print cannot achieve.

We have recently taken the use of moving images in communication to a whole new level with the launch of our ‘Social Film Drama Partnership’ in conjunction with Omni Productions in Bristol.

Our partnership has already produced two films, which have received enormous critical acclaim:
  • Protecting Jayne – commissioned by the Home Office
  • The Overdose Notes – commissioned by the Wiltshire Criminal Justice Board
For more information go to: www.socialfilmdrama.com

We also have experience of producing high quality videos for the following purposes:
In-house training
Internal communication – for example ‘The Mesage from the Chief Executive’
Evaluating audience reaction for Arts Council funders
Promotion and sales

The Overdose Notes

We have recently completed production of our second social film drama, commissioned by the Wiltshire Criminal Justice Board.

The Overdose Notes tells the story of Chris Mills, a drug and alcohol addict with a history of convictions for anti-social behaviour. Following repeated breaches of the conditions of his ASBO, Chris is given a custodial sentence. Within 24 hours of his eventual release, however, Chris is found dead as the result of a fatal drugs overdose.

Responding to the tragedy, the Local Criminal Justice Board launches an investigation into the circumstances leading to his death. Could his crimes have been punished differently? Was he given the correct support for his addictions? Could his untimely death have been prevented?
